I want to grant a user the ability to create new logins and modify existing logins. I've granted the user the server level role securityadmin which takes care of all of that except for login creation per se. In higher versions of SS there is a role in the master DB (loginmanager) which allows a user to create a new login, but not in SS 2005.
Any ideas?
Assumptions: We will upgrade to 2012 next year; the user shouldn't have sysadmin role
